Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

At Smile Lounge Dentistry we firmly believe that Good Dental Care is right of every human being and should not be limited to only few who can afford it. With increasing inflation and cost of living Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a sigh of relief for Canadian residents who have an adjusted family net income below $90,000/yr and don’t have any private dental coverage

CDCP Program Eligibility

Currently Canadian Dental Care Plan is not available to all. Initially the plan was only available for Seniors who are 65years of above, but with the recent update Children under the age of 18 are also eligible for CDCP.

If you fall in the above age brackets and fulfill the following criteria, you should be able to avail the benefit.

  •  Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
  • Not have access to employer/pension-sponsored or
    private dental insurance
  • Have filed your tax return in the previous year
  • Have an adjusted family net income of less than
    $90,000

Services Covered by the CDCP Include

Before booking an appointment, it is important that you ask your dentist if they accept CDCP, as currently not all dental clinics are enrolled in the program. We at Smile Lounge Dentistry do ACCEPT Canada Dental Care Plan and would be happy to assist you.

Following is the list of services covered under CDCP

These treatments and/or services are determined with consideration of an individual’s oral health history and existing medical conditions. Services that require preauthorization will be accessible starting November 2024.
